A New Spa Ritual at Bodysgallen Hall - Introducing GAIA Skincare Treatments
Bodysgallen Hall near Llandudno in North Wales is delighted to welcome a new spa ritual with the launch of GAIA Skincare treatments at the hotel’s spa.
GAIA Skincare products are fully handcrafted in the UK. All products are free from synthetics including fragrances and colouring, as well as being chemical free. Along with 90% of products being certified vegan, and all product being cruelty free, naturally. The GAIA Skincare range features three collections made with their Awakening, Balancing and Calming blends. The brand is inspired by Gaia, the ancient Greek goddess known as mother nature.
GAIA Skincare treatments are all about nothing being rushed. In the treatment rooms, Awakening comes first. Notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and peppermint rise into the air, bright and effervescent. Shoulders lift. Breathing deepens. The outside world fades as the senses gently come alive again.
Then there is Balancing; a quiet harmony of lemon, ylang ylang, and palmarosa. This is where everything steadies. Thoughts soften, the mind finds its centre, and the body follows. It is the feeling of returning to oneself.
And finally, Calming. The deepest exhale. Lavender, chamomile, and orange blossom melt into jojoba oil, wrapping the skin and mindset in stillness. Muscles release, tension dissolves, and time seems to stretch.

A truly tranquil experience, the Calming Journey has been developed to offer complete relaxation and peace within. Your journey will begin with a serene back, neck and shoulder massage to ease muscle tension and calm the mind and body. This is followed by a scalp massage (60 minute) or Indian head massage (90 minute) which includes a facial cleanse, tone and a beautifully relaxing facial massage, focusing on pressure points to relive tension. Find grounding and harmony with the Balancing Journey, a treatment designed to alleviate stress and bring equilibrium to the mind and body. The journey centres around a hot stone massage, using warm volcanic stones to soothe aches and pains, relieving tension. The Balancing Journey continues with a nourishing Jade facial, known as the healing stone. The Jade crystal wands help to relieve tension in the muscles, encouraging blood flow, and help eliminate fine lines. A refreshing face and body treatment designed to uplift and revitalise the mind and body. Featuring GAIA ’s signature foot ritual, relaxing back cleanse and exfoliation, followed by the application of the refreshing Strengthening Fitness Gel to soothe tension. A completely bespoke treatment catered to your needs and concerns. – GAIA Hot Stone Massage
A therapeutic back, neck and shoulder, full body and scalp massage using specially blended GAIA oils and warm volcanic stones to relive deep muscle tension. Experience a therapeutic back cleanse followed by exfoliation with GAIA ’s own unique body scrub, before GAIA ’s mud mask is applied in sweeping motions to detoxify and cleanse. This healing massaging facial will leave your skin feeling rejuvenated and glowing. – GAIA Salt and Oil Scrub
Liberate your skin with GAIA ’s nourishing salt and oil scrub treatment. Your body is awakened with natural sea salt, peppermint and lemongrass, to gently buff the skin, boosting circulation and leaving a natural glow. What makes this a truly unique experience is the hotel’s setting. With 220 acres of gardens and parkland to explore before or after a spa treatment, guests can embrace nature further. The gardens at the hotel include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a rockery with a cascade, a walled rose garden, and several follies. Several woodland walks enhance the outdoor experience. The gardens were celebrated on the BBC Show ‘Glorious Gardens from Above’.
